ONE NIGHT ONLY

Last Friday saw the first preview gig of The David Gomes Sextet at The Top Room and it was pretty well attended by some 40 or so people. This Friday will see a repeat of that gig, the last one, before the merry [or I should say, Miri :)] gang of 6 + 1 leave for East Malaysia in May. Catch them and get a feel of the jazz spirit that they'll be bringing to the shores of Miri.

And on Saturday, Top Room's menu is serving jazz both rare & well done when Mike Veerapen & Junji Delfino team up in a once-in-a-blue- moon occasion as a duet, solo piano & vocals. Not since their Monday nights off at All That Jazz in PJ in the late 80's have these two done such a format. It's one for the books, folks!
