These happy faces smiling up at you belong to the barely 2 month old Boplicity, the newest "kid" on the jazz block. Catch them tonight at The Top Room and again sometime in January, though they don't know it yet :). Truth be told, neither do I! When, that is! But keep a lookout for our posts so you're in the know.Boplicity is made up of Julian Chan on saxes, Eddie Wen on trumpet & flugelhorn, Martin Ngim on drums, Vincent Ong on bass and Tay Cher Siang on piano. You gotta come & see this chap. He's a remarkable player and, rightfully so... he owns a degree in... umm... err... jazzology??? I forgot what it's called. I'll let you know once it's early enough to ring Julian! Mwahahaha!
Anyways, do come & check 'em out before the year draws to a close. And on Saturday, David & Junji will have their final fling at the top. Okay, you can drop the eyebrows now. It's only for the month (well okay... year. let's not split hairs over that one!) as they get ready to head back to the land of the spewing merlion next week till the end of January. To their supporters and followers, they'll be back come February with a special treat for the ardent Valentine fans. Time to bookmark Toppings so you don't ever have to miss any one of our shows!

Unfortunately, Jazzmamma can't bring pate this weekend. Last week she went ho ho hoing up the staircase with her basket of treats. This week, when asked, she said "bah humbug!" Shucks! Christmas should last all year round...
