Suffering from PMS

Post Miri Syndrome, that is. We had such a lovely time at the festival that to come back to the salt mines here feels a wee bit... um... salty. Sting-y, salty. Oh well, long story but life goes on. Incidentally, for those who were wondering why there was no post about last week's gig... well, ask TNB! On Tuesday, just before midnight, we suffered a power cut in our parcel for about 4 hours! My entire household was awoken by sweat. After failed attempts at getting a firm answer as to exactly how long the power cut will last from 15454 [TNB's helpline] we decided to make a treat out of it by packing the kids into the van for a trip to the 24-hour mamak shop in the next parcel. The kids were happy. The mamak too, seeing as we had all 4 of 5 with us... the ching-ching-ka-ching of his till brought music to his ears!

The next day our internet connection was zilch. And the next. And the next. By the time I got it back, the weekend gig was over. Sigh. But we're fully connected now and so...

We say, first of all, MANY THANKS to our loyal supporters who came over to catch Eye2Eye with Gina last Friday & Saturday. The place was packed with avid supporters of good jazz music & good sound. And lucky for them too as hot mama, Gina, will be in absentia for the next month as she takes a much deserved break in the land of pizza & pasta! [Have a good time, babe!]

Now, this weekend, David Gomes, Julian Chan, Vincent Ong & moi will be at The Top Room once again for another swingin' time together with & Jonathan on drums. With the Miri spirit still fresh in our memory, you can bet it'll be another memorable night of jazz & good
vibes!
